I’m looking forward to this as I have several older Leicas including a IIIB, an M2 and a Leicaflex SL. Though most of what I do now is via M10-P and Q2, I do get the bug to shoot film. Right now I’m on a project shooting identical shots with three 50 mm lenses: a 1937 Elmar, a 1960 DR Summicron and a 1999 Summicron. I’m looking forward to seeing the different characteristics of these lenses compared.

Even though I use and enjoy both an M10 and a M-D (the original minus buttons and rear screen), I also enjoy shooting with film, maybe more so than digital. I have several vintage Leica cameras; IIIf, IIIg, first year M3, M5, Leicaflex Standard & SL, plus a few lenses in both screw and M mount. And of course, cannot forget about necessary external viewfinders and other accessories. I am looking forward to Mr. Fagan’s talk on his perspective of using vintage Leica equipment and film based photography in this digital-centric era.

I have many years using, collecting and rebuilding screw mount cameras, and I use a M240 M-P, but it has never given me the satisfaction or joy of my film cameras.
