Looking forward to seeing everybody in Seattle. Nothing like schmoozing with Leica friends.

Let’s get moving LHSA!
Se you soon friends.

I am a new member and I will be attending this as my first event, I would very much like to submit what I consider my best ever photograph that was made while working as a Fire fighter for the US forestry service in Bend Oregon. Risk to life and limb was required to make the shot and my beloved camera was consumed in the fire shortly after as a consequence. It was taken in the early 1990’s on my first Leica, a M3 with 50 f2 Summicron. Problem is it was taken on slide film. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to submit this for consideration? I am quite confident that it is something that all those in attendance would enjoy and appreciate. It’s content is quite relevant as of late considering our past 2 fire seasons. Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to meeting the community.

Hello, Eugene! Thank you for your message and welcome to LHSA – The International Leica Society. Regarding your photo(s) that are on slide film, I would suggest that you have them scanned so that they can be uploaded and considered for the exhibit.

Having only recently joined the LHSA I look on this conference and annual meeting with envy! I hope that by this time next year international travel might be more straightforward! In any case I hope it’s a great show- I will be toasting you in my birthday 23 Oct and maybe see you at the next one

Mark, thank you for your kind message. Unfortunately, international travel remains a challenge. Our plans are to have a meeting “on the other side” in the next 12-24 months. Thank you for your support of the Society, and I hope you are enjoying your membership with us.

Like you, international travel is not possible. I look forward to being able to attend sometime in the future. I hope this year’s conference goes well.
