Samuel Gillilan will talk about his

  • Experience using the Leica M10-D + 50mm Summicron-APO on a 150mile trek to Mt. Everest Base Camp in March 2020

  • Climbing elevations of 5360m (17,585ft) while operating the M10-D at temperatures of -30C (-22F)

  • Coming down from the Himalayas to global border shutdowns and having to leave Nepal very quickly as concerns about the COVID-19 virus began to occur all over the world.

Featuring Images from Samuel’s new photography book Asana: Into the Himalayas.

About the Instructor:

Samuel Gillilan is an international Leica M photographer based on Kauai, HI. 

He travels all over the world to Holy Sites, his attention turned toward the visual arts through the medium of photography as a way of conveying visions & symbolism of the human psyche.
