Join LHSA Today

You’re invited to join LHSA – The International Leica Society where Leica enthusiasts and photography lovers gather to meet and share their Leica journey.

For over fifty years, we continue to be the family meeting place for Leica users as well as collectors who are dedicated to preserving and keeping alive the rich legacy of Leica Camera. Open to everyone who shares an interest in Leica cameras, history, and photography.

Membership Levels

Become a Sustaining, Print or Electronic member and enjoy these benefits:

  • Subscription to Viewfinder, our award-winning quarterly journal featuring photo essays, Leica history, and camera reviews.
  • Access to members-only portion of website with photographic educational webinars, exclusive articles, Ask an Expert program, Viewfinder archives, and the latest Leica news.
  • Invitations to participate in spring shoots, regional meet-ups, and annual meetings (both virtual and in-person when possible). At these gatherings, attendees can take advantage of “Leica on Loan” programs to try out products, receive professional instruction, and meet with Leica experts.
  • Quarterly newsletter and bi-monthly emails to stay up-to-date on all things Leica, including news on exclusive offers and special commemorative products.

And most importantly, you’ll enjoy the camaraderie among fellow Leica Society members who also share a passion for photography and Leica.

The Leica journey is most meaningful when the experiences are shared with friends who understand that similar to Leica cameras themselves, the community is more than the sum of its parts. Together, we have a richer perspective and community.

What’s in a Name (Ours)?

People sometimes ask us about our name and logo. We were founded over fifty years ago as the Leica Historical Society of America (LHSA) and continue to use the LHSA logo as a link to our roots.  Just as history plays a large role for Leica cameras, it remains important to us as well.
