LHSA – The International Leica Society’s mission is to provide a place where Leica camera enthusiasts can congregate for mutual interest and enjoyment.
Our vision is to advance the “Leica Journey” in each of us. LHSA offers Leica enthusiasts unique experiences, information, and support as they travel along their individual journey.
The Leica Journey
You are invited to join LHSA – The International Leica Society, a community of Leica users and collectors. Become a part of preserving the rich history of Leica, from the earliest Barnack to the screwmount Leicas to the iconic M cameras that continue today, improve your skills and join other Leica photographers in the Leica journey. Leica invented 35mm photography 100 years ago. Leica cameras were used by greats such as Henri Cartier-Bresson, Man Ray, Alfred Eisenstadt, Diane Arbus, and others to capture some of the great moments in history. Leica film and digital cameras are still used by great photographers and serious amateurs.
For fifty years, LHSA has been involved in this history and has been a meeting place for Leica users as well as collectors. Read our acclaimed Viewfinder Magazine four times a year and read about old Leicas, new Leicas, and how to get the most out of them. Meet other Leica owners and Leica executives and renowned Leica photographers as we meet twice year for photo shoots and instruction. Get to try out the latest Leica gear at meetings through the Leica on Loan program. Visit our website and gain access to our archives of historical information as well as more current information. Post your own images for comment. Become eligible for discounts on some repairs. Gain access to expertise from our members, learn about your camera, learn shooting techniques, and become a part of the rich history of Leica cameras.
